John Welch Enterprise is proud to serve the Victor Community. Located in the northwest corner of Ontario County, Victor was named after Claudius Victor Boughton, an American hero of the War of 1812. Ganondagan, a very important Seneca Village was abandoned by their tribe in 1687 after the French invaders took over control of the fur trade. Following the American Revolutionary War, the Phelps and Gorham Purchase from the Senecas included this territory. Victor was then formed in 1812 and was initially developed for agriculture. Today, the Ganondagan State Historic Site sits in the center of the Seneca nation grounds. The historic site provides education, history, art and culture of the Seneca Nation. Victor is home to Eastview Mall. A very large, developed shopping mall and attraction to the area. The Hamlet of Fishers, Boughton HIll, and Motts Corners provide many parks and recreational options to the residents and visitors of Victor.
