Irrigation Installation Macedon

John Welch is proud to serve the Macedon Community. Before Macedon's settlement in 1788 is was home of the Seneca Nation, a tribe member in the Iroquois League. Macedon, among most of the towns in the area, was part of the Phelps and Gorham purchase. The construction and completion of the Erie Canal brought many new settlers to the area. In 1823 Macedon was incorporated to the area from what had been the western half of Palmyra. During that time, new port communities like Wayneport and the Village of Macedon were formed and centered around Lock 30. The town of Macedon is a huge part of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor. Macedon is a quickly growing community with many large superstores and plaza's being established. It is becoming a prime spot for businesses and developers.
